Lessons In Firearms Education is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing training in the safe ownership and usage of firearms.  Using established NRA training materials, and covering the relevant state laws, our handgun safety class meets all mandated training requirements for those wishing to purchase a pistol in Hawaii. We also offer classes on the safe ownership and usage of shotguns and rifles, and even offer classes to qualified individuals who are interested in becoming NRA certified instructors.

*** IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION ***

In January 2012 the Parks Department has started charging fees to LIFE (and other organizations and clubs) to use the range. We will need to evaluate how this may affect our costs and subsequently the fees we have to charge our students. In the meantime we will not be changing our fees, but it appears likely that we'll be forced to do so at some point in the future.

We do not believe that the fees are being assessed correctly, nor equitably by ALL users of City and County Parks and will do what we can to reverse this decision before we have to raise our prices. You can help. Contact the City Council and let them know you want the fees repealed.
